Couples Therapy
Deepening Connection, Trust, and Understanding
Relationships are meant to be a source of love and support, but even the strongest partnerships face challenges. Whether you’re feeling disconnected, struggling with communication, or working through past wounds, couples therapy offers a space to reconnect and strengthen your relationship.
I work with couples of all kinds, including long-term partners, newlyweds, LGBTQ+ couples, and non-monogamous relationships. While every relationship is unique, many couples come to therapy to explore:
Communication challenges – Struggling to express needs, feeling unheard, or experiencing recurring conflicts.
Lack of intimacy and connection – Feeling distant, emotionally or physically, and wanting to reconnect.
Healing from trauma within the relationship – Navigating the impact of past experiences or relational wounds.
Rebuilding trust – Addressing past hurts, betrayals, or challenges in honesty and security.
Parenting and partnership – Balancing the demands of raising a family while staying connected as a couple.
Navigating life changes – Adjusting to transitions like marriage, career shifts, moving, or other significant shifts.
My Approach to Couples Therapy
I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps couples understand and shift the deeper emotional patterns driving conflict or distance. I also integrate somatic couples therapy, sex therapy insights, and Gottman Method techniques to support healthier communication, physical intimacy, and lasting connection.
Together, we will:
Explore the emotional and attachment patterns shaping your relationship.
Shift from reactive cycles to deeper understanding and connection.
Build trust and safety, both emotionally and physically.
Strengthen intimacy, communication, and mutual support.
