Couples Therapy

Deepening Connection, Trust, and Understanding

Relationships are meant to be a source of love and support, but even the strongest partnerships face challenges. Whether you’re feeling disconnected, struggling with communication, or working through past wounds, couples therapy offers a space to reconnect and strengthen your relationship.

I work with couples of all kinds, including long-term partners, newlyweds, LGBTQ+ couples, and non-monogamous relationships. While every relationship is unique, many couples come to therapy to explore:

  • Communication challenges – Struggling to express needs, feeling unheard, or experiencing recurring conflicts.

  • Lack of intimacy and connection – Feeling distant, emotionally or physically, and wanting to reconnect.

  • Healing from trauma within the relationship – Navigating the impact of past experiences or relational wounds.

  • Rebuilding trust – Addressing past hurts, betrayals, or challenges in honesty and security.

  • Parenting and partnership – Balancing the demands of raising a family while staying connected as a couple.

  • Navigating life changes – Adjusting to transitions like marriage, career shifts, moving, or other significant shifts.

My Approach to Couples Therapy

I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps couples understand and shift the deeper emotional patterns driving conflict or distance. I also integrate somatic couples therapy, sex therapy insights, and Gottman Method techniques to support healthier communication, physical intimacy, and lasting connection.

Together, we will:

  • Explore the emotional and attachment patterns shaping your relationship.

  • Shift from reactive cycles to deeper understanding and connection.

  • Build trust and safety, both emotionally and physically.

  • Strengthen intimacy, communication, and mutual support.
